



Standing still is not an option. Our factory is simultaneously our laboratory: here we investigate how concrete truly behaves, how we can further optimise particle packing, and how the next generation of machines will take circularity a step further. Together with TU Delft and other academic partners, we push the boundaries of what circular concrete can be. And what we learn, we bring directly back into production. Because the norm of tomorrow is being built today.
In our lab, we investigate concrete rubble at three levels. We map the composition of what comes in: using petrography, XRF, and thin sections, we examine how cement paste, sand, and gravel bond at the micron level. We also measure how our process changes the material and whether the quality after treatment matches what we estimated at intake. At the same time, we continuously test how our fractions behave in new concrete mixes. These insights feed directly back into our Smart Liberator and Smart Refiner. Because every insight makes the next product better.

We work with TU Delft, amongst others. We also have collaborations with other academic partners in the field of circular concrete materials and production methods. We actively share knowledge through publications.
These are three methods we use to map the composition of incoming concrete rubble. Thin sections and petrography provide a microscopic view of how cement paste, sand and gravel bond at the micron level. XRF analyses the chemical composition. These insights help us refine our process and monitor the quality of the output.
The Smart Refiner is the next step in our production chain, aimed at further refining the liberated raw materials. We are actively working on this in our lab, in collaboration with academic partners.
Our factory is also our laboratory. Insights from research are fed back directly into production. What we learn in the lab, we apply on the factory floor as quickly as possible.
